Some of the impressive optional equipment packages available on the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 are the DVD based navigation system which will add another $1,995 to the manufacturers suggested retail price. The premium trim package will add another $595 while the ambient lighting package will add $295 to the bottom line.


The Ford Mustang ROUSH model offers a high performance take on the Mustang. Overall the emphasis continues to be on advanced handling and power. Of these the Stage 3 has added a supercharger to the 4.6 liter V8 engine bringing the total horsepower up to 430 with a choice of 5 speed manual or automatic transmissions.

The limited edition version of the new Ford Mustang we drove offered an impressive list of standard features as well. These included custom paint, accent stripes, air dam, chrome wheels, dual exhaust, front spoiler, rear spoiler, and ground effects.
