With an updated sporty look to it the 2010 Toyota Prius comes in several versions including the II, III, IV, and V each with their own package options. Packages and options found on the Prius V include a rather elaborate navigation package which integrates quite a few multimedia and communications capabilities. For example the voice activated touch screen DVD navigation system with a JBL AM/FM/MP3 player plus four disc CD changer eight speakers and integrated satellite radio capability.

Additionally the advanced navigation package provides XM Nav Traffic capabilities, integrated backup camera, safety connect, hands free phone and streaming music using Bluetooth wireless technology.

On top of the navigation package are the additional features which make up the Advanced Technology Package which adds a pre-collision system, intelligent parking assistant, lane keep assist, and dynamic radar cruise control.

With the manufacturer suggested retail price starting out at $22,000 the price is very appealing to those consumers looking to save big at the gas pump and do their part as far as the environment goes. These have long been the major selling points of green vehicles and hybrids as well and the Prius has generated a well respected reputation for these points as well as providing more cargo space than much of the competition.

Compared with new fuel efficient cars the green design of the Prius gets one of the highest EPA air pollution scores in the business. These air pollution scores and the carbon footprint analysis measure the different types and levels of vehicle emissions. For example air pollutants will cause not only smog but they also harm human health. The carbon footprint is a measure of the greenhouse gas emissions that impact climate changes and are primarily made up of CO2.

Interior package variations offer a choice of fabric trimmed seats and door panels or leather trimmed seats and steering wheel. A drivers seat with power and lumbar support which is heated is another one of the more popular interior features. Interior color choices include Dark Gray, Misty Gray, and Bisque.

There are several exterior color choices which include Blizzard Pearl, Classic Silver Metallic, Barcelona Red Metallic, Sandy Beach Metallic, Blue Ribbon Metallic, and Winter Gray Metallic.

The advanced safety features of the 2010 Toyota Prius include driver and front passenger Advanced Airbag System, driver and front passenger front seat-mounted side airbags, front and rear side curtain airbags, driver’s knee airbag, child protector rear door locks, and side-impact door beams just to name a few of the basics.
